Quite often you need to be 21 and older for a hotel room (at least with reputable hotels) and 25 to rent a car (some places allow you to rent a car under 25, but good luck finding them and not paying an arm and a leg).
I should note though that often when using a credit card to book and pay for a hotel, age really doesn't typically come into play (except maybe when you check in and they need id). But that is not the same for car rentals.
I think you should. I think if an age limits exist it is 18. I think they are more concerned with getting paid. I would call and ask the hotel.
You need to be 18 to rent/book a hotel room, rent a car, etc. You both should be able to do so without any problem. If it's a hotel with a minibar or room service make sure you get an itemized bill and keep track of anything you used in the minibar or ordered thru room service so you can check your bill to make sure there were no "mistakes" in what you were charged.
18 and older
