I need to stay a week in a hotel for a week and pay cash- simply because I don't have a card anymore due to getting laid off last year and not making a single payment during that time and I can't apply for one due to bad credit. If I give them a credit card at the beginning of my stay will they hold the week's worth on my card or just a day's worth deposit hold?
Perhaps you can find a small out of the way mom and pop type place without a credit card. Big hotels will not register you without a CC.
You did confuse me a bit. Early on you say you don't have a CC and at the end you ask how much they will hold on it if you give them a CC.
