What is the reason why the Jockey Club is being built around by the Cosmopolitan hotel?

It looks pretty ridiculous that the hotel is being completely surrounded by the new hotel. Why would anyone want to go to the Jockey Club? What's the story?

The Jockey Club decided not to sell. Holding out for more money. I would imagine people that own a share in the Jockey Club would want to go there. Sorry it is not up to your standards. You could stand outside and throw buckets of poop on them as they enter and shout "I am better then you"

Becasuse that is where the land is but the Jockey club residents will be allowed to use all of the facilities are Cosmopolitan whihc will be a huge binus

The Jockey Club came first, more than twenty years ago as a time share. The owners would not sell so City Center and what was to be the Cosmopolitican (now bankrupt) built around it
