Who can tell me how to get information on a hotel in the town of Tequila, in Jalisco?

I am planning a vacation in November. The only hotel I found online was Plaza Jardin but they have not responded to my emails. I tried to make a reservation online and I couldn't. Does any one know the name of another hotel in that town? Thanks

Ps. Who know what Tequila distelleries they have near that town or in the town.

Best bet is to stay in Guadalajara, it is not far from Tequila, about 40 miles...

There are many tequila distilleries in the area, some of the most int resting are Cuervo, Sauza, Orendain La Cofradia... on the way there you can also go to Herradura which is in Amatitan.

ok, tequila is really more of a day trip place. it's not very far at all from guadalajara...which is much more interesting place. a real city, with lots of charm as well and plenty of things to do.

i really enjoyed the jose cuervo factory in tequila. the tour was great, they gave you lots of samples, all along the tequila making process, and it was just a really pleasant experience. ignore the people that try to sell you the tours. just go right to the factory and purchase your tickets. they offer spanish tours, and english tours...but the english tours are recorded audio.

if you want to venture out to other places, you can try a tourist stand, they can give you some tour info. i have been told the tequila train is full of lies....they make up stuff about history that isn't accurate, and it's not too much fun. but....maybe it will be fun for you...who knows!

Go to Guadalajara, and take the Tequila Express. It is a train ride with maricahi bands, music and tequila tasting.

The reason you are not having much luck in tequila is that it is practically a village and therefore you're not likely to find real accommodations, especially if you are used to U.S. hotels. My recommendation is stay in Guadalajara if you like the big city or a small town like Chapala/Ajijic if you are more into the quiet, laid back atmosphere. Either place will have several nightly room options for under a hundred dollars a night and both are within 2 hours driving time from tequila. I lived in Chapala and travel there twice yearly and you can't beat the tranquility there, if you decide to stay in Ajijic, I recommend, La Nueva Posada in Ajijic with master suites around $100.00 a night on weekend or San Juan Cosala for around $40.00 a night. Each has a pool and great service although the room are not very luxurious. Good luck!

Stay in GDL. Tons of good hotels. Don't even need a reservation most of the time. Just show up. Take the day trips to the Tequila factories.
