Can you help me finding the best hotel in Kuala Lumpur?

Hi there,

Me and my wife are planning to spend our romantic moments in Kulala Lumpur for 3 days , It's our first time to visit Malaysia.

Can you help me finding the best hotel in Kuala Lumpur?

What sort of hotel are you looking for? Affordable or high-end? I can recommend 3 hotels for you: City Villa Kuala Lumpur, Hotel Maya, and The Saujana Kuala Lumpur.

You can check out their websites:

www.hotelcityvilla.com

www.hotelmaya-kualalumpur.com

www.thesaujana-kualalumpur.com

I would suggest Cititel Midvalley. It's no 5 star nor the best, but, most of my company guest whom I've put up there is giving it good reviews. It's just beside the Mid Valley, one of the largest shopping mall in Kuala Lumpur. Public transport is abundance.

Once you drop off in KLIA, take the KLIA express rail to KL Sentral. You can take the KTM Komuter from there to the hotel, the station is below the Mid Valley, or a cab.

and Welcome to Malaysia!! Enjoy your stay. If you need anymore info on where to go or do. Post it here, we'll be more than glad to answer and help you in anyway possible.

1. Shangri-la

2. KL Hilton.

Their names say it all.

for romantis place,i think it better for u to stay at resort,kl was horrible, with the traffic jam and smoke all over the place, plus it hot..y dun u go for island or highland such as Cameron highland in Pahang also try Manukan islandin Sabah..

Glad that you have selected malaysia for such a wonderful occasion.

There are a few hotels which are quite suitable

1) Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur is the perfect place to stay, whether for business or pleasure. Located adjacent to the world famous, 88 storey Petronas Twin Towers, with far reaching views overlooking the lush 50 acre KLCC Park.

2) The Traders Hotel - Kuala Lumpur is a contemporary city centre hotel that caters to smart business and leisure travellers. We offer 571 stylishly appointed rooms and suites in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, just opposite the Petronas Twin Towers. Web Site: http://www.shangri-la.com/en/property/kualalumpur/traders

3)Hotel Nikko Kuala Lumpur is conveniently located along prestigious Jalan Ampang - the heart of KL's business, shopping and entertainment district. It is also a heartbeat away from Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC) and the Petronas Twin Towers, two of the world's tallest buildings!

4)The JW Marriott Hotel Kuala Lumpur is one of nine flagship JW Marriott Hotels around the world and the first Marriott property in Malaysia. Ideally located within the central business district of Kuala Lumpur, the five star deluxe hotel anchors the popular Bintang Walk and provides a distinctive level of luxury and comfort with the impeccable service that is Marriott's hallmark. Hope you have a wonderful time with your wife.

Pangkor laut one of the best resort in Malaysia for couple

KL Hilton has one of the best rooms with in-house DVD and bath tub big enough for a romantic soak-in. Their restaurants are great for a quaint fine dining. Their lounge lobby is something to look forward to after a great dinner.

A cheaper version is but equalyy tasteful is Hotel Grand Maya. I personally love the bathroom and it's bathtub is deep wide and deep enough for a perfect soak-in. They also provide you with bath salts.

Other hotels you can look out for is Shangri-La, KL (their LaFite Restaurant serves amazing french cuisine). Prince Hotel is another choice and although it doesn't measure up to Hilton and Shangri-La, the hotel is located slightly away from traffic and very private so less noisy.

I wouldn't suggest Bukit Bintang area (good hotels there include JW Marriott, Westin and Regent) because traffic is horrendous and very very noisy both during daytime and nightime, not so much of a romantic getaway)

Price range for these hotels starts from RM350++ (for Maya and Prince) to RM500++ for Hilton and Shangri-La per room per night.

I hope you'll enjoy your stay in KL. Not to forget your sunblock and if you're coming during this period, an umbrella will come in handy. We welcome you.
