What are some things to do in Majorca? What is the best hotel to stay at near the beach?

I am going to Majorca in December and I have no clue what I should do when I get there. Should I even go in December? I dont want to stay at a run down nasty hotel, are there any good ones by the beach?

Well, December is pretty cold (15 C) and rainy in Mallorca. It is up to you if to go or not, but I am not so sure that regular swimming would be so much fun. If you're looking for a sunny affordable place in December, try Eilat.
