How old do you have to be to get a hotel room?

My wife and I are 19. Can we get a room at a hotel or bed & breakfast anywhere in England? Could this be a potential problem? What if I always paid in cash?

18 and 21. No problem for you. You must check the hotels check-in policies for minimum checkin age, because some hotels allow only people of 21 years old.

18 a full adult.

You can pay by credit card if you wish - usually if you are staying a few days, the Hotel will ask for your card details and you can bill things to your account throughout your stay, and just sign the bill at the end.

Tipping at 10% is fairly normal although some bills will have an addition added on for tips. You can, of course, refuse to pay this.

Some bills in the restaurants will come without a final total so that you can add your own toal to include tips. Again, that's up to you to tip or not.

You are an adult, why would you have a problem?

People in Britain can be married at 16, an have completely adult bank accounts by 18 - so there would be absolutely no problem with someone aged 19 acquiring a hotel room.

You shouldnt have a problem with booking a hotel. Im pretty sure you have to be 18 and over in most places. Its best to call up and ask though
